Early 20th Century Salvaged Westbrook Elevator Company Elevator Tag Set. Looks bronze or brass and nonmagnetic.
Westbrook Elevator plaque 3 1/2″ x 1 1/2 measures and the Capacity plaque is 5 3/8″ x 7/8″. Look 1/8″ thick. Weight of the 2 together is 3 oz.
Have their scratches, scuffs, stains, bending, dings, nice Patina showing good age and still looks great! What makes these very unusual is name tag with the compacity 2000 lbs tag! Cool historic find. Supposedly on February 1907 the Westbrook Elevator Company Danville Virginia was founded by John J Westbrook and his brother Walter J. In 1918 this firm succeeded by the Westbrook Elevator Manufacturing Company Inc.
