Antique Ormolu Vanity Box with French Cameo Portrait in the Art Nouveau style. Interior has worn green velvet. Antique 19th C French Ormolu Portrait Jewelry Box. Portrait miniature of a woman wearing Bonnet, vanity or jewelry box. Gilt ormolu, round, lined with deteriorating felt. Has brass bronze look but not sure of metal type, metal is non magnetic.
Unsigned with hinged top. Top is little wobbly when fully open but works and sits good.
Good condition with average wear from age and use with handling marks, scratches and scuffs dont seen any damaged and this young lady enhances the old box immensely! Needs detailed cleaning. Height measures close to 1 1/2″, with 3 5/8″ bottom diameter. Weight is nice at solid 14 oz..
