1930s 7 Up School Street Sidewalk Marker, guessing made of bronze or brass and metal is nonmagnetic.

Many soda companies supplied them to areas near schools and high pedestrian traffic for sidewalk safety markers in the 1930’s. It would sit flush with the top of the sidewalk, and provide a permanent marker for separating pedestrians from motorized traffic, and at bus and streetcar stops. Schools would use them as cue up points to form a line for the bus.

Measures close to 4″ diameter, 2 1/2″ tall counting post. Nice weight at hair under 3/4 pound.

Good condition for the age with the average 90 year old weathered wear. This one you can read the writing on its backside. Back reads Patented National Service ENG Bham ALA.

Guessing made 1930. Cool Old 7up Marker. Please check pictures for description and condition.
