After E. Maurel Cast Bronze Art Nouveau Figural Inkwell with Tray. Bronze Art Nouveau Lady Motif Pen Tray Inkwell. Tray looks and feels heavy like bronze but could be brass, weight is nice at hair over 2 3/4 pound and is nonmagnetic. The ink cup or Insert is missing. Tray inside measures 6 1/2″ by around 2″ wide. Inkwell total height is close to 3 1/2″ to top of head, length is 10″ and width is 3 3/4″ across hair.
Metal looks in good condition with average wear for age with light scratches, scuffs, verdigris, nice Patina and looks great! Ink top is off center but seems tight when closed and opens and closes fine by using the hair bun, top can wiggle slightly when open, it closes and sits nice and flush so could be from casting process.
Guessing made way before 2003. Cool Old Inkwell!! Please check pictures for description and condition.
