After Julien Caussé (1869-1914) French. An art nouveau patinated bronzed bust of a woman, titled Lys. Seen these called bronze and spelter but going with spelter. Nonmagnetic and unsigned so maker unknown.
Measures 5 1/2″ tall, 3 1/4″ wide at shoulders, and 2″ deep. Base is 1 5/8″ wide x 1 1/2″. Weight is solid 11 oz. Metal bust has wear with scratches and scuffs, rub marks, bronze finish wearing off yet still an unusually nice looking piece compared to few others I’ve seen, especially her face with just little finish loss like off tip of nose which is common.
Guessing made late 1800s early 1900’s. Cool Little LYS Bust!! Please check pictures for description and condition.
