This is an antique Desk Set. Six Pieces to set. Metal looks brass and is nonmagnetic. All pieces to this set have matching leaf designs. 2 footed candlesticks bases are stamped Austria & measure 3 1/8″ x 3 1/8″, both stand 5 1/2″ tall with heavy candle wax residue in cups. These were well used and appreciated throughout the years going by the conditions. Each weighs close to 10 oz.
Letter holder footed base is stamped Austria measures 3 1/8″ x 3 1/8″, height is 5 1/2″ at back divider that is which has slight lean and bending as two front sections do, weight is close to 15 oz.
Card holder base measures 4 3/4″ wide x 3 1/8″ deep, height of back holder section is 5 3/8″ which is stamped Austria and has slight bending, weight is hair over 8 oz.
Two section stamp holder is marked Austria on divider, base measures 3 5/8″ wide x 2 1/2″ deep, height with lid closed is 1″, weight is nice for size at 8 oz.
Last but not least is a matching postage scale, footed base is stamped Austria and has adjustment screw that if frozen in place. base measures 3 1/8″ x 3 1/8″ and scale is 6″ tall to top of tray, tray is not original but fits and works fine. Scale wiggles from base and it swivels 360 degrees but does loosen a bit much when playing with it and would need retightening. All parts move nicely, except for base adjustment screw.
Set is in good condition for age with scratches scuffs, tarnishing, verdigris, dings, bends, dents, handling marks imperfections from making process, nice patina and still looks great!
