Tray is attributed to Peter Tereszczuk, Unsigned. Can’t find a signature or foundry mark but could be buried under the tarnishing, verdigris, scratches, scuffs, greening, years of thick Patina. Looks and feel heavy like bronze and nonmagnetic. Measures 10″ wide x 5 5/8″ and sits 1 1/4″ tallest part, top of handle. Nice heavy weight at close to 2 1/2 pound. Has thick Patina and still looks great! Metal so you could clean it up but then remove the age tell.

Peter Tereszczuk who is known for his Calling Card Tray, Vienna, featuring a girl shepherd. This tray looks from the late1800’s, has 2 globs of metal on bottom possible from the making process, maybe an earlier attempt at mass producing this tray, or done afterwards. The globs/metal doesn’t look bronze more of a whitish metal.

Peter Tereszczuk (1875-1963) was an important Austrian-Ukrainian sculptor working in Vienna and known for his expressive and naturalistic Art Nouveau bronze sculptures.

Born in 1875 in Wybudow, Ukraine then part of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire, Tereszczuk moved to Vienna to study sculpture at the Kunstgewerbeschule from 1893-1899 under Hermann Klotz.

He lived and worked in Vienna at Zollergasse 43, the section of the city famous for its foundries and created fine bronze figural groups and sculptures in the Art nouveau style. His work is distinctive in style, often sentimental and with intriguing and contemplative expressions; the figures often with ivory faces and hands. He also created beautiful objects of art such as desk sets and table lamps.
