Antique Eagle Door Knocker, Metal Large, Bird of Prey.
This is heavy metal at a little over 1 3/4 pound. Looks and feels bronze but could be brass, non magnetic. Mounting screws included and has same patina on flat heads so could be original to the knocker. 4 3/4″ center to center screw holes. Seen a few of these and this one has a bronze look and can be monogramed for gifting.
The Bird Of Prey Knocker Measures 6 3/4″ tall, 4 1/4″ wide, sticks away from door 1″ give or take. Has wear from age with scratches, scuffs, tarnishing, verdigris, Imperfection from casting process on eagles left wing tip, nice Patina and still looks great! Seen a few of these these and this knocker shows thick casting especially on knocker & wings with nice aged Patina, back has the original brass/bronze color showing through in places.
