This paperweight is decorated with a WWI look helmet on top of sword spear flowers and more. Only marking I see are 1914 /1918. Stone is 3 5/8″ x 2 1/2″ x 3/4″ thick. Total height to top of helmet including stone is around 2 1/2″. Weight is nice at little over 1 pound. Has its wear from age and use with scratches, scuffs, tarnishing, greening, verdigris, dings, small chips to stone, nice Patina and still looks great.
I’ve seen similar in resin, bronze and spelter. This is stone and going with spelter metal non magnetic except for old iron bolt. The nut on bottom has good age to it, similar to some of my art nouveau/ deco trays and inkwells. so far from new. So guessing a vintage or possible antique commemorative Paperweight but unsure of real date made. Nicely made piece of art and would look good on any WWI collectors desk.
