Maritime Bronzed Sea Antique McClelland Barclay Sailfish Bowl Tray. Sculptured Pin Tray. Signed McClelland Barclay (American, 1891 – 1943). Seen several of these trays called bronze, I’m going with plated bronze nonmagnetic spelter type metal, but this particular one has very nice overall deep rich Patina.
Condition is good for its age with average finish wear mostly in tray bottom from use with scratches, scuffs, verdigris, tarnishing, nice patina and still looks great. Measures 7 1/4″ long, 4″ wide and close to 5″ tall to top of nares/ nose. Weight is nice at hair under 3 pound.
Guessing made 1930s. Cool Old McClelland Barclay Sailfish Tray!! Shipping for lower 48 states. Signature delivery confirmation will be needed for this piece. Note: Stands and bases not included just pin tray is for sale. Found some fun info on this historic company from the great Wikipedia at bottom of page.
