Seen these called Cigarette Dispenser, Antique Humidor, Cigarette Box, Box has a lovely hunting scene all around with hounds, rabbit, birds and horse back rider with fox horn on lid. This dispenser has very unusual dispensing mechanism. Metal has beautiful brass and copper and nonmagnetic.
Measure closed 4 1/4″ tall, base is 4″ wide x 3 3/4″ deep. Nice weight at hair under 1 1/2 pound. Pre-owned Good Condition with average wear from the ages and use. Only issue is one back top hinge is not spaced the same as its counterpart, this is from the making process so top has little play and moves side to side a bit and favors one side closed, so doesn’t sit perfectly square, opens and closes good and dont see any damage. Nice piece from 1940’s or earlier. Arm and mechanism seems to work as it should, spring has good tension and dont see any reason why it shouldn’t work. Untested with cigarettes.
