Signed Estey Bros Co on bottom, attributed to Estey Brothers Company – Bronze, Iron Wire Works, Bushwick, Brooklyn. Looks and feels heavy like bronze but could be brass and is nonmagnetic. Footed and measures 3 3/8″ long x 3 1/4″ wide x 5/8″ high. Nice weight for size at around 5 oz.. Historic company goes way back to late 1800s.
Nice condition with less than average wear for age with tarnishing in crevices, verdigris spots in hair with light spots underside, handling marks, nice patina and looks great! Don’t look used for cigarettes. Cool Find from a long ago NY metal works company.
