Stone has nice grain with greens white and little brown accent. Old red felt on bottom still attached and may of been re-glued it on so good. Looks bronze or copper wash with greyish metal showing through. non magnetic.
Seen similar duck trays called Art Deco, Austrian, Mid Century, whatever it is the duck is well done for size, vintage, detailed down to its little feet. Nice small sized waterfowl at just 1 7/8″ tall not counting marble, marble is 3 x 2″ and 7/8″ thick. Makes a nice paperweight also.
Unsigned unless under old felt, duck sits snug on marble as marble on table.
Greenish stone with nice beveled top edge, has very nice vanes, and old grains that look like cracks but cant feel and all is solid so could be an older piece of marble, feels hard like a hard stone and is polished so check pictures. Weight is nice for art, close to 11 oz. Good vintage condition and dont see or feel any damage. just few ruff edges and duck loosing it finish with scratches, scuffs, nice Patina and still looks great!
Guessing made 1940s-1950s. Cool Old Piece for the Duck Lover!!!!
