Metal Buddha Reclining Figurine. Measures 10 1/4″ long, 1 3/4″ tall, 2″ deep to elbow. Weight is nice at 2 pounds including pillow. Pillow measures 1 3/8″ x 7/8″ x 1/2″ tall. Found some nice info on this piece from the great Wikipedia at bottom of page.
Great sculpture that looks bronze but could be brass. Nonmagnetic. Good preowned condition with its scuffs, scratches, handling marks, nice Patina and looks awesome!
Seen a only a few lying Buddhas with pillow, some are lighter in weight, this is 2 pound buddha and will last lifetimes if taken care of. Lovely Piece! Have more Buddha statues listed also.

A reclining Buddha is an image that represents Buddha lying down and is a major iconographic theme in Buddhist art. It represents the historical Buddha during his last illness, about to enter the parinirvana. He is lying on his right side, his head resting on a cushion or relying on his right elbow, supporting his head with his hand. After the Buddha’s death, his followers decide to build a statue of him lying down.
