No works just case. Art Nouveau Circa 1889 Bronzed Clock Case. Seen identical cases housing Seth Thomas clock movements. So if you have the works and not the case your in luck. Last picture has flash on to show details. This is the rare 12 1/2″ version. Seen many versions 21″ tall which is huge and not many 12 1/2″ versions which would fit a lot more easily in the home. Hole opening looks to have tight 2 1/4″ diameter and 2 1/4″ deep outside to outside.
Good condition with chipping or imperfections around case openings and should be covered by bezels once works is found and added. In very good condition for age.
Measures: 12 1/2” tall, 7 3/4″ widest part and 4 3/4″ deep. Weight is a whopping 6 3/4 pound.
Not sure of metal but has Bronze wash non magnetic and maybe spelter. I see cement filled bottom so this clock may not of had a pendulum just wind keys in back of movement. Has nice art nouveau lady with flowing hair and smiling. Sits solid with nice Patina and looks just great! Put a newer quartz movement in and not have to worry about winding.
Guessing late 1800s. Cool Old Seth Thomas Clock Case.
