Paper dial reads New Haven Clock Co USA and Stand Reads Thermometre Fahrenheit. Unusual New Haven Clock that is in need of restoration. Measures: 7” tall, 3 1/2″ widest part and 1 1/2″ deep not counting winding key. Weight is solid 1/2 pound.

Hard to find a similar clock so new haven clock collectors should like this find. The winding key looks replaced and winds,  clock will run and then eventually stops. The thermometer seems to work but not sure how accurately. The glass bezel is loose from bezel frame, bezel unit can be removed. The hand adjustment key seems to work good. The second hand is included loose but looks separated or broke from its shaft and same may apply to clock shaft. The minute hand is loose also and falls down to 6 o’clock every now and then.

Has brass look and non magnetic but could be another metal. Has nice scroll work designs on clock body and clock stand  has great art nouveau designs about in front and simple scrolled legs in back. Sits solid with nice Patina and looks just great!

From the great Wikipedia, The New Haven Clock Company Factory is a historic industrial complex at 133 Hamilton Street in New Haven, Connecticut. Developed between 1866 and 1937, it consists of ten interconnected brick buildings that are the surviving elements of a major clock-making business that operated here until 1956.

Guessing late 1800s -early 1900s. Cool Old New Haven Clock Thermometer Made In Good Old USA!
