Unsigned bronze game bird pen tray. Stone is 13 3/4″ wide by 6 1/2″ deep and around 3/4″ thick. Tray & bird is 5 3/4″ tall to top of pheasants head. Unusual to see this type of tray so big. Weight is a whopping 5 3/4 pound.
Good condition for the period with few ruff spots/ imperfections you can feel rubbing your fingers on the edges and small nicks chips visible on edge and grain has wide chip shown in picture with finger which blends in with the other grains. Pheasant has aged look and nice Patina, don’t see any real issues with the large 10 1/2″ long bird besides average tarnishing to finish. Check out our other cold painted Gamebird trays.
Guessing mid to late 1800’s. Cool Old Austrian Type Bronze Pen Tray! Look just as good on any vanity for trinkets as it would on any desk displaying a pen or two!!
