Supposedly Photographers Bird Whistle that you fill bottom section/container with water, connect a straw and blow. The bird then would chirp, move his tail up and down but selling as collectible decoration only and non working. Would of loved to see this in action but the bowl is frozen and wont separate by hand also air tube looks to have a cut out but there is enough room to slip a straw over and use if you can separate water bowl.
I did put travel mug straw on and it whistles fine but no movement so probably needs the water to move tail feathers and bottom beak which both do move nice & freely when just moving bird around, didn’t want to add water though tube hole and play with it any further. Something does rattle inside bowl.
Fun antique item and displays great as is! This ones very detailed with age wear, scratches, scuffs tarnishing, dings, nice Patina showing true age and still looks great.
