Measures 10 1/4″ tall, 7 1/2″ widest diameter, top outside diameter is 5 1/4″. Weight is nice at little over 2 1/4 pound. Vessel looks similar to Norman Bacon’s art but this one is unsigned.
This looks like an older piece. Came with other Raku art with most pieces signed Bacon. Not signed and larger then most art pottery copper Raku Vessels of this type. Has light scuffs and scratches with larger scuffs marks mostly around the dark matt bottom section shown in pictures.
Raku Vessel, Vintage Jar. The Raku process consists of rapid firing and cooling, which transform clay objects into natural works of art. The resulting piece has colors and textures that cannot be duplicated.
Guessing made before 2000. Cool Old Raku Vessel!!! Have other Raku pottery also.
