This is a vintage Swan Salt Cellar. It measures across 5 1/4″ to swans beak. The glass bowl has 4 1/8″ diameter and 2 1/4″ tall to top of swans head. Weight is 7 oz.
Metal has a bronze look and in good condition with little verdigris greening, light scuffs and scratches, ornately done with nice Patina. Glass looked to have had an Opaline finish at one time but worn off with scratches and scuffs inside and on bottom of bowl.
A salt cellar is an article of tableware for holding and dispensing salt. In British English, the term is normally used for what in North American English are called salt shakers.
