Fun Old piece with sun face shining on a New England town with the local folk cooking up some lobster! Measures 17″ tall to top of hook, 6 3/4″ wide and 3/4″ thick. Weight is nice at 1 1/2 pound.
Reads give or take = Take out the meat, pick it small, and set it to stew gently in a sauce pan over a stove, with white wine, salt, and a blade of mace, when it is very hot, put to it some butter, and crumbs of bread, warm the shells before the fire, fill them with meat, and serve them up.
Not sure of wood type but has nice grain, stain with good weight. Old metal hook and the paper front is in good worn condition. Looks to have some age with good Patina. Has its wear nicks, chips, torn paper, scratches, scuff and still looks great! Look great in a small old lobster shack in Maine or on a lobster lovers kitchen wall!
