This is an unusual and hard to find warning signal horn. It was made and patented by E.A. Laboratories in Brooklyn NY. What makes this particular siren special is a metal tag attached reads US Navy contract number and an early date of 1939. Seen many in the 1940s and many not dated or un-legible but not so many that states in the late 1930s This horn is in good looking condition with many dings and dents, just which they could talk! Working condition is unknown. This signal is wired, type H-5 – 6 VOLTS and need rewiring..

Metal looks brass and seen these called brass and also said to be stripped, you be the judge which one. if brass finished horn, leave as is and looks great, or re-paint with few coats of battles ship gray. The metal is still structurally sound and could easily be restored. I think this warning signal device is quite cool being from the late 1930’s and dated. I wish I knew its Naval history if any.

Measures around 15″ long”, 9″ tall sitting on 4″ diameter base which is held on by two nuts and bolts, horn/funnel front outside opening is 4 1/4″, back housing has 7 1/2″ diameter with coupling on side with old cut wire extending past back housing 2″, opposite side has threaded hole only. Weight is nice at 5 pounds.

Dated 1939. Look great in any naval collection! Please check pictures for description and condition…
