Vintage Bronzed Doe and Fawn Sculpture. Signed H. Van Wolf, Cast metal looks and feels heavy like bronze with a copper tint but could be another metal. Non-magnetic.
Seen these in different sizes. This Art is larger at 5″ wide x 3″ deep and 4 1/4″ tall to top of ear. Nice heavy weight at 2 pound 3 oz.
Good condition with white specks, one ear is pointy and other is rounded a bit so may have been tapped lightly or the way it was made so check pictures. Felt is showing age but covering bottom. Signed boldly under does back legs. This sculpture is unusual with the fawn hugging mothers neck and not on her back like most others I’ve seen.
