Vintage servants bell marked made in India. Looks etched brass and hand painted. Nice gong sound! Missing pull chain that attaches to the clapper, would sit in catch bowl and then one would yank chain or rope and gong!!!
Measures 8 1/4″ tall to top of finial, top diameter is top and bottom tray diameters are 5 1/4″, bell has a 3 7/8″ outside rim diameter. Weight is nice at solid 2 1/4 pounds. Seen few hotel ceremony and servants bells but this one is not all that common and looks just great even with the tarnishing verdigris, scratches, scuffs, staining discoloration and nice Patina. The columns do tighten up and probable come off if you like to straiten out to perfect, we like the way it is with little lean and wouldn’t want to strip something trying to make this old bell perfectly straight.
