Looks like it reads the Helm Co. Saint Louis with pat dates that is hard to make out. This company was known for these type of mail slots way back in the day. Condition is key and this slot is in good condition especially for the age.
Outside measures 9″ wide x 7 3/4″ tall and weighs a nice 3 3/4 pounds. Two side bolts and only 1 nut. Maybe missing parts so what you see is what you receive. I’ve seen similar with a cross bar spring, but this mail slot will open close and stay closed on its own. One front screw is different from the rest. No bell wiring just original bell button which is fun to see. Slot opening is 7″ x 2″ with the back of door angling up which acts as a weight also to keep door closed.
Looks bronze but could be old brass. Older Slot with tarnishing, scratches, scuffs, greening, verdigris, nice Patina, showing good age and looks great!! Just mail slot shown is included, sure there were different ways to mount with box through wall, double door slot setup or most common door mount and drop into a basket.
