Supposedly Photographers Bird Whistle that you fill bottom section/container with water, connect a straw and blow. The bird then would chirp, move his tail up and down and this one seems to work. Was happy to see this in action, the bowl is not frozen and removes easily. No straw included.
I put my travel mug straw on and it whistles good and tail feather go up and down. Didn’t see much beak movement but moves fine by hand and may work better with the correct straw, my straw had to hold against so would fit over little blow tube and air was escaping but still sounded cool!
Fun antique item and displays great and seems to work. This ones very detailed with age wear, scratches, scuffs tarnishing, dings, nice Patina showing true age and still looks great.
