Antique Bull Dog McClelland Barclay Bronzed Dog Art (American, 1891 – 1943). Seen few of these Bulldogs called Miniature figurines. Signed piece, can barely make out the name.
I’m going with plated bronze nonmagnetic spelter type metal, but this particular one has very nice rich original finish and nice weight for size at hair under 6 oz.
Condition is good for its age with average finish wear, scratches, scuffs, verdigris, tarnishing, nice patina and still looks great. Measures 2 5/8″ long, 1 1/4″ wide and close to 1 1/2″ tall to top of ears. Nice weight at solid 7 oz.
Found some fun info on this historic company from the great Wikipedia at bottom of page.
Guessing made late 1930s early 1940’s. Cool Old McClelland Barclay Bulldog!!
Please check pictures for description and condition.
